The Golden Rule

The Green Deal Golden Rule The ‘Golden Rule’ states that the cost of improvements must not exceed the savings on your energy bill over the period of the measures useful life. That’s why there will be no extra cost. If improvements meet the ‘Golden Rule’ then a Green Deal can be accessed. The Government believe that over 14 million homes will benefit from Green Deal measures by 2020. With the costs of electricity and gas continuing to rise, The Green Deal becomes even more essential and effective to ensure value for money on your energy bills.

The Green Deal is a government incentive allowing people to pay for energy-efficiency improvements to their property through savings made on their energy bills. With energy bills continuing to rise, such improvements are becoming essential.
